Class Descriptions
Jivamukti Open Class
Whether you're a beginner, figuring out the difference between Vrikshasana (tree pose) and Shirshasana (headstand) or an advanced yogi, the Jivamukti Open class is open to practitioners of all levels. You work at your own pace, following the teacher's verbal as well as hands-on guidance. Asana options will be provided for beginners, intermediate and advanced students.
Jivamukti Fundamentals Class
Whereas in the Open and Spiritual Warrior classes vinyasa is emphasized, in the Fundamentals class alignment is the emphasis. You are taught "how to do" asanas as well as the use of props. The Fundamentals class provides you with the base in order to enter into an Open class. Each Jivamukti Fundamentals class is part of a four-week course that explores a different theme each week.
Jivamukti Spiritual Warrior Class
A Jivamukti Spiritual Warrior class is a well-rounded practice in only 60min. The yoga class is fast-paced and strengthening. The structure is a fixed set sequence instructed in a vinyasa style. It is a fully balanced class which includes asana warm-up, chanting, setting of intention, surya namaskar, standing poses, backbends, forward bends, twists, inversions, meditation and relaxation.
Small Group & Private Classes
Originally, the study of yoga was as a 1-on-1 dialogue between teacher and student. A Jivamukti Yoga Private is specifically tailored to fit your needs and your level. Private classes are an ideal opportunity to explore specific asanas or areas of interest such as anatomy, yogic philosophy or meditation.
In-Class Private (ICP)
An In-class Private (ICP) may be the best yoga class you've ever taken - seriously! During your regular group class, another teacher individually assists you throughout, refining and adding depth to your practice. In the hands of a certified Jivamukti teacher, you are comfortably guided through each and every movement of the class experience.
Corporate Yoga
Practicing yoga before work can be a fantastic start to the corporate day, a lunchtime class can be a wonderful way to regain energy for the afternoon, and a yoga class scheduled at the end of the day can be a great way to unwind after sitting at the desk all day and before tackling the commute home.
